IMO the Stringdusters have been in a bit of an identity crisis since their Grammy win in 2018. Laws of Gravity was a phenomenal album produced by Billy Hume who seemingly has the Midas Touch when it comes to studio work and record production.

Rise Sun has its moments, but my takeaway is they tried way too hard to hit all the hot button social/political/environmental topics - and they did it with a passive-aggressive "light and love" approach. I was disappointed.

Their set at 4848 at Snowshoe earlier this month was brilliant - because they reached deep and played older favorites, with just the right mix of stuff off the new album.

Now, as I finish this ramble and get around to landing the plane.....

Lettuce was unbelievably entertaining. I was pleasantly surprised by their ability to hold the interest of a crowd with nothing but funky jamming and no lyrics. Their set was fun - as evidenced by multiple episodes of my "58 year old white guy dance".
